Because the nature of indie games is that the developers are a much small and particularly limited financially group so they can only spend so much on development. Not as Many Good Games as The Good Old Days

Something I have really been thinking about lately is how few games really have been released in recent years that interest me at all. Back in my childhood it seemed as though I couldn't keep up with and definitely not have the chance to buy them all. There were just boat loads of games of all different genres that I totally loved, every month there was a release I was deeply interested in. But now days there are at best a couple games per years that I can say I'm deeply interested in really. The Next Halo Has Been Hyped That is For Sure

So I have been a super halo fan since the original halo, I got that game on day one with the original xbox. And every Halo game since then I have done the same. But admittedly after Bungie stopped developing the Halo games there has been some lost luster. The games just done have the same charm they did and hype around then, and quite honestly it seems like Microsoft has not put the effort into them like they should of.
