Anime Video Games Have Been Historically Bad

If you have been a anime fan and a gamer, then you know that there have been historically very few if any great anime related video games. This is something I never quite understood for years, and just didn't make sense. It always seemed like a perfect match. After all anime are usually based on fiction where crazy over the top things take place. It's hard for live action movies or books as a art form to capture this quite like a video game could. And every anime fan dreams of being able to do some of the super hero things that take place in the anime they love. But I guess it's one of those things where the developers or publishing company take for granted that anime fans of the said anime will just purchase blindly the anime they love. So they don't put much effort or work into the gaming product put at hand.
