We all remember about 10 years ago when map packs in online fps games was all the rage in gaming, a great way for developers to extend the life of their games and finances relating to the game. But somewhere over the years that game model seems to wear on people to the point of it being a disgusted thing in online games now. I too feel this way about it now days, which is why I'm really getting tired of gaming developers pump out more and more creative ways to nickle and dime gamers, I don't mind this so much if it makes sense and doesn't totally hurt the game at the same time. Like the map packs I was taking about for example, while more content is good there is more to it than that to consider. Like now that some people own the packs it separates those that don't from each other and now there have to be separate modes, and these maps can never be used in ranked because not everyone has them. Just constant headaches like that ruin a innocent gaming experience. So I really hope in the future developers find better ways to implement downloads post release especially ones that cost money, we already spent admission price get it right after that.
